bg_image_animation=&#8221;none&#8221;][nectar_highlighted_text color_type=&#8221;regular&#8221; style=&#8221;full_text&#8221;]\n<h2 class=\"p1\">OUR PROJECT<\/h2>\n[\/nectar_highlighted_text][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Andr\u00e9 Fran\u00e7ois, who has been involved with health for more than 10 years, portrays how Brazilians who face leprosy and its stigma live. They are part of the more than 30,000 people who are diagnosed with the disease every year in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The photographer traveled to Brazil in search of stories that could raise a discussion on the subject and show the contrasts of the disease. \u201cAs incredible as it may seem, this whirlwind of suffering is precisely what touches the sensitivity of these people,\u201d he says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The choice of craft, a rustic paper, for the cover of the book as well as some internal pages, was given to reflect to the reader the feeling of what it is like to deal with leprosy: the harshness of the disease, contrasting with the delicacy of the people portrayed.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=&#8221;full_width_content&#8221;
